About the director:
Creator, director and producer, João Jardim has a keen eye for finding surprising characteristics in real stories. From a singular, creative and innovative perspective, his works are marked by themes of identification with the most diverse audiences. This concern is present in his most recent feature film, released in a multiplatform format (cinema theaters, GloboNews channel and GloboPlay streaming). On TV, João Jardim was responsible for the direction and production of five series on Canal GNT, including the fiction “Vítimas Digitais” (2019) and the documentary “Liberdade de Gênero” (2015, 2017). In theaters, his first fiction feature, “Getúlio” (2014), was acclaimed by critics and audiences, with more than 500 thousand viewers. João was also co-director of “Lixo Extraordinário” (2010), the first Brazilian documentary nominated for an Oscar.
