“Operation Camanducaia” mixes the styles of road-movie, investigative and dialogue films in the search for the survivors of Operation Camanducaia, 1974. That year, 93 children and adolescents were arbitrarily arrested by the São Paulo police and taken illegally to another Brazilian state The following day, only 41 of them appeared naked, hungry and bruised Starting from the stage of the episode, the city of Camanducaia, the film seeks to find those involved, especially the survivors, on a 10-year journey.

About the director:
Journalist with a specialization in cinema, Tiago Rezende de Toledo started his role as cultural manager as programmer and president of cinema clubs. He was part of Caixa Cultural’s film curatorial commissions, where he was a supervisor (São Paulo) and manager (Fortaleza). He directed experimental short films before Operation Camanducaia, his first feature film, to which he dedicated ten years of research.
