Lázaro Ramos is a Brazilian actor, presenter, filmmaker and writer of children’s literature, who started his artistic career at Bando de Teatro Olodum. From 1998 to 2002, he was the anchor of Fantástico. He gained notoriety by playing João Francisco dos Santos in the film Madame Satã (2002). Lázaro was nominated for an Emmy (2007) for best actor for his role in the soap opera Cobras & Lagartos, as Foguinho.
He participated in the play A Bruxinha Que Era Boa, by Maria Clara Machado, 1988, when he was about 12 years old in an itinerant theater located in Salvador, replacing his cousin. Lázaro had no idea what acting was. Until at 15, he decided to be an actor. In 1994, he joined the Bando de Teatro Olodum, acting in the play Bai, Bai Pelô. In cinema, he acted with the gang in Jenipapo 1995, by Monique Gardenberg, in 1998, the film Cinderela Baiana.
