Sérgio de Carvalho graduated in Cinema from Estácio de Sá University, in Rio de Janeiro. Ater graduaQng, he moved to the state of Acre, in the Brazilian Amazon, where he created the audiovisual production company Saci Filmes. He produced the documentary feature film “Bimi, Shu Ikaya”, directed by Isaka and Gilson Huni Kuin, which circulated in several festivals around the world and won the best film award at the Forum Doc, in Belo Horizonte and at the Free Cinema Festival, in Brasília. From 2021 to 2022, he acted as researcher and local producer for the series “Tarã”, from Disney Plus+, by Formata Produções. He is the author of the short story book “Outros Morangos” and the fiction book “Alien Nights”, which inspired the homonymous feature film, winner of the 2010 Garibaldi Brasil Literature Contest, held by the City Hall of Rio Branco, through the Garibaldi Brasil Foundation.
