  • Synopsis

    The film shows, in a simple and authentic way, the strength of women from the small community of Reduto, located in São Miguel do Gostoso (RN). Four women tell their life stories by reporting their long working hours. Whether in the fields, in the collective work in the flour mill, in the tireless and constant work of the lacemakers of “labirinto”, or in the search for better living conditions for their children. Filmed with a cell phone, the documentary surprises and presents scenes of a unique beauty where Mrs Neusa, 99 years old, Mrs Deuzuíte, Mrs Gracinha – symbols of resistance and tradition – and Robéria, a young working woman who fights for the inclusion of her disabled son. The film is sewn by the original soundtrack, created by Valéria Oliveira especially for the short.
